14 pre-scheduled one to one meetings, exhibition and informal networking opportunities

Oxford Global Conferences are proud to present the 9th Annual Proteins & Antibodies Congress, taking place on the 18th & 19th April 2016 at the Novotel London West, UK. Together with the Peptides Congress and the Biosimilars & Biobetters Congress, the Proteins & Antibodies Congress forms part of Europe’s leading networking and learning platform for over 400 biologics experts. The conference programme consists of world-class keynote addresses and over 40 presentations which will offer crucial insights into how the biggest pharma companies are developing their biologics pipelines. Presentations will cover the most exciting advances in protein expression, purification and antibody therapeutics, with an emphasis on case studies and best practice sharing.

Day One will explore Antibody Discovery & Engineering, and Protein Expression & Characterisation topics. New to the antibodies programme this year will be a focus on novel antibody formats and immuno-oncology. Immuno-oncology is poised to become one of the most important therapeutic areas in the antibodies field, with many large pharmaceutical companies launching major collaborations in this space this year. Our panel of expert antibodies speakers will discuss the pressing scientific and strategic concerns of immuno-oncology, including target identification strategies, overcoming safety issues, the impact of check point inhibitors and bispecifics. Our Protein Expression speakers will be exploring the latest tools for membrane protein expression and molecule design strategies to enhance developability. We will also have key academic-led presentations to update delegates about advances in protein science including folding, pathway engineering and protein modification.

Day Two will feature high-level discussions about the Therapeutic Applications of Antibodies, including exciting research into the application of CAR T cell receptors in cancer therapies and case studies covering the latest attempts to transport antibodies across the blood-brain barrier. In our Protein Purification stream delegates will hear about current efforts to reduce timelines and cost of goods through automated systems, cell line development and disposable equipment. Delegates will also hear about how large pharma is tackling the challenge of protein formulation and ensuring stability in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
